☀ New Girl, Bows, & Neon Yellow Sneakers ☀

To distract myself from the cold weather outside, I decided to shift my thoughts to the summertime when it was warm and I could get away with wearing a dress without thermal tights.

This outfit is inspired by New Girl, so finding the turquoise and yellow set (New Girl's main color scheme) was really exciting.  I love mixing black and white with pops of bold color, and this outfit is really quick and easy to pull together.  To balance the black, white, and yellow, I added bright red lipstick to the look.

Clouds n' Cow Print DIY Clutch

This is what happens when you see an ice cream printed kid's clutch in the clearance section of TJ Maxx.  I have always wanted to paint my own clutch, but I never really knew what I would make with it.

Chillin' in Charleston (Part 2-Rainbow Outfit Edition)

Part 2 of "I went to Charleston for the first time ever and took lots of photos."
These photos are more professional, with nice lighting and everything.  We took a trip to Rainbow Row, and I wore a rainbow t-shirt.  Complete with a stretch choker, high-waisted denim shorts, and sky blue Converse. Charleston is amazing, and full of vibrant colors, so it was only right I wore my rainbow t-shirt.

Outfit Inspiration | Léon: The Professional - Mathilda (Series)

After watching the movie Léon: The Professional (1994), starring Natalie Portman and Jean Reno, I was inspired by Portman's character, Mathilda.  Mathilda is a young girl who finds Léon, a trained assassin.  Mathilda's outfits in this film are so interesting, and can definitely transition into today's style.  So, I am beginning a short series based around Mathilda's outfits, where I find garments that are similar to her's that are currently available in the market.  The first look is the classic bright green color block and stripe shorts, and black lace up top.  The pendant choker has come back around, along with her green bomber jacket.

Chillin' in Charleston (Part 1)

My first time in Charleston consisted of waffle donuts, colorful houses, and a pineapple fountain.
The interns took on Charleston, and we started with a recommended waffle donut shop called Sweet Belgium.  They sell Belgium waffles that are glazed like donuts, and come with toppings and flavors.  When we saw them making their waffles, they put a giant ball of thick dough on the waffle iron (instead of that runny pancake dough)-and it was a glorious sight.

Dark Side of the Moon 🌛⭐

Once again, Hayley and Wynne take on the unknowns to follow their quest for the perfect photo shoot setting around town.  We were actually trying to find this place that had large trees with Spanish moss all along the road, but we took a wrong turn.  However, as we were trying to find somewhere to turn around, I saw this bright purple building, and knew that I had to use it.  How often do you come across a bright purple wall?

Featured Artist: Jen Stark

Jen Stark has been one of my favorite artists for a long time, probably since around 2008! As an contemporary artist, she's become extremely successful, especially after collaborating with Miley Cyrus.  Her psychedelic, rainbow graphics are incredible, and her paper sculptures are perfection.  To celebrate her success and talent, I've compiled some of my favorite pieces from her!  Stark's work ranges from 3-D pieces to stop-motion animation, so there were plenty of amazing works to choose from.

Here are my Top 10 Favorite Jen Stark pieces:
